Hartill-22.697. Weight: 21.5 gms. Fou bao, protruding head boo variety. "Xian Feng zhong bao"; Reverse: "Dang shi". This handsome representative of the type exhibits good definition of the characters, naturally rough surface texture and attractive rich brassy patina with minor earthen deposits amongst the devices adding to its originality and pleasing appearance. The rims do show evidence of edge bumps mentioned for accuracy. Overall a nicely preserved example of the type with a good look sure to be a welcome addition to the next collection it enters.
