(t) CHINA. Qing Dynasty. 10 Cash, ND (ca. 1875-80). Board of Works Mint, new branch. De Zong (Guang Xu). Certified "85" by Zhong Qian Ping Ji Grading Company.
Hartill-22.1316; FD-2637. Weight: 9.7 gms. Six stroke bei. "Guang Xu Zhong bao"; Reverse: "Dang shi". A nicely preserved example displaying lovely rich brassy patina with well-defined calligraphy and rims that show small trivial edge marks mentioned for accuracy, but hardly a distraction. The broad surfaced rims exhibit much evidence the finishing process adding to its originality and overall pleasing appearance great for beginner to intermediate collectors looking for wholesome pieces.
