L&M-49; K-608; KM-Y-318a. Triple Die Obverse (TDO) variety. A nearly white example of the type with a small patch of blue tone on the obverse edge between 1 and 3 o'clock. This piece was struck with dies that display some tripling of the obverse designs, most notably on the lower characters as well as within the dots that encircle Sun Yat-sen's portrait. As the only example that PCGS has certified of this variety, perhaps quite RARE.
