Nova Scotia. Victoria bronze Specimen "Mayflower" 1/2 Penny Token 1856 SP62 Brown NGC, Br-876, NS-5A1a, Haxby-Unl. (listed only in medal alignment). Plain edge. Coin alignment. Variety with LCW initials beneath bust (incompletely struck). Beautifully toned in a prominent cabinet iridescence of seafoam, neon blue, and violet. Sold with old collector envelope detailing provenance.
Adopted obverse (Haxby die SH-2): No L.C.W. below bust, bust tip ends even with the 1 of the date; pointed upper left serifs of NN of BRITANNIAR.
Pattern reverse (Haxby die SH-B): Small bud under V of PROVINCE; normal V of PROVINCE; broken stem under PR of PROVINCE.
