Lower Canada "Montreal Ropery" 1/2 Penny Token ND (1828) VG10 Brown NGC, Br-564 (R5), LC-18, Robins-29320. Engrailed edge. Medal alignment. NGC has listed a date of 1828 on the holder, but Charlton lists the date as 1824. All of the details are quite clear, with the token's surfaces showing some dark verdigris and light porosity. One of the classic Canadian token rarities with most either in museum collections or tightly held in private collections. Very rare and seldom offered. Sold with old collector envelope detailing provenance.
