Blacksmith copper "Peck's Patent Tin Machines/Britannia" 1/2 Penny Token ND Fine Details (Environmental Damage) NGC BL-46 (Extremely Rare), Wood-28a. Plain edge. Only four pieces known, with one of those in the Bank of Canada Collection. Struck with a poor die, both sides have decent details and the planchets show considerable corrosion. Unknown to Wood, Russell Rulau included this piece in his token book, as Lowe-271, after being informed of its existence by Warren Baker. Missing from the Robins Collection, the only other specimen we have seen was lot 97278 in our Part I sale of Mr. Partrick's collection (also ex. Baker and Fargeon collections).
