Thessaly, Larissa. Drachm; Thessaly, Larissa; c. 350 BC, Drachm, 6.04g. BCD-384.2 (same dies). Obv: Head of the nymph Larissa facing slightly r., hair bound with ampyx. Rx: Horse standing l., about to roll; ?AP[I] above (P reversed), SAIO[N] in exergue. Ex Berk 81, 31 March 1994, lot 137. The BCD catalogue (Triton XV, 2012) calls this reverse type "extremely rare", because of the reversed P (engraver's error) in the legend.Extremely pretty head of Larissa. MS
