Sabina, wife of Hadrian (died 137 AD). AE Sestertius, struck under Hadrian, c.128-134 AD. Obv. SABINA AVGVSTA HADRIANI AVG P P. Draped bust right, hair dressed high on head, wearing stephane. Rev. SC (in exergue). Ceres seated left on basket, holding corn-ears and torch. RIC II (Hadr.) 1019; C. 69 (Fr.8). AE. 25.69 g. 33.50 mm. Scarce. A superb example, from masterly engraved and perfectly detailed dies, in exceptional state of preservation. Glossy green brown patina, skillfully and gently smoothed, otherwise EF. ���
