Antoninus Pius (Divus, after 161 AD). AR Denarius, issued under Marcus Aurelius. Obv. DIVVS ANTONINVS. Bare head right. Rev. CONSECRATIO. Four-tiered funeral pyre, surmounted by facing quadriga. RIC III (M.Aurel.) 436; C. 164. AR. 3.20 g. 18.00 mm. Wonderful portrait. A superb example, brilliant and lightly toned. Almost invisible hair-line flan crack at four o'clock of reverse, otherwise EF. ���
