Ex Slg. Dr. H. M., erworben bei MMAG, Basel, am 9.11.1960. Mit Originalrechnung, gezeichnet von P. Strauss. Aus den Slgg. Jameson (Nr. 1253) und Consul Eduard Friedrich Weber (= Auktion Jacob Hirsch XXI, 1908, 2004). In his comment on his lot no. 1003, BCD stresses the enormous rarity of this coin type, of which until now only 6 specimens are known. He also mentions our example: "The following year another appeared in Consul Weber (bought by Rollin et Feuardent)" and wonders "where did it go?". Now: here it is!
