Iran Kingdom of Persia, Imperial Bank 10 Tomans ND (1890-1923) Pick 4fp; 4pp Front and Back Progressive Proofs PMG Superb Gem Unc 67 EPQ; Uncirculated 62 Net. This handsome uniface pair of prototypes was created for this seldom-seen denomination from the Imperial Bank of Persia. This was a long running design, and interestingly enough, the size of the two Proofs is different, which could indicate that they were prepared at different times. The face Proof has an 1897 date, while the back Proof was cancelled in 1932. The face side is void of any netting features, while the back proof has overprints and mount remnants.
