Spain Banco de Espana 500 Reales de Vellon 1.5.1862 Pick UNL Remainder PMG Choice Uncirculated 63 Net. Excellent paper and originality is seen on this gigantic Remainder from the 1862 series. Any extant banknote, Specimen, Proof, or Remainder from the 1862 and 1866 series is extremely rare, as both series were redeemed in 1873 at the founding of the First Republic. The back design is purposely inverted. A lack of serial numbers and signatures confirm Remainder status. Mount remnants are mentioned for accuracy.
