Spain Banco de Espana 50 Escudos 1.1.1866 Pick UNL Remainder PMG Choice Uncirculated 64. Bank of Spain issued notes from the time period leading up to the First Republic are extremely rare today, as almost all circulating currency instruments were withdrawn. Printer records indicate that 194,000 notes of this denomination were issued, but it appears that much fewer than that saw circulation. This Remainder is lacking signatures, and its serial numbers are still 30,000 away from the end of the issue run, which could indicate how few of these were issued. This series was redeemed in 1873, making any extant example extremely rare today. This series is unlisted in the Standard Catalog.
