Anv: Laureate bust of Carlos IV on the right, around legend: TO CARLOS IV, REY DE ESPAṄA Y DE LAS YNDIAS, below legend: APRIL II, 1790. Rev: Shield crowned and quartered with five stars, tree, rampant lion on the left and a sailing ship, in the center oval escusón quartered with lions and castles, behind an extended eagle holding a ribbon that surrounds the shield with the inscription: BENIGNO THE FERTILE CLIMATE THE SOIL COMFORTABLE THE SITE AND LOYAL THE PEOPLE, around legend: IN ITS PROCLAMATION MUI Orizava LEAL VILLA YEAR 1790.
