Augustus. 27 BC-AD 14. AR Denarius (18mm, 3.51 g, 6h). Uncertain Spanish mint (Colonia Patricia?). Struck 18-17 BC. Bare head left / Triumphal arch of Augustus: central arch surmounted by a facing quadriga; side arches, on each of which is a standing figure; the figure on left holding up a signum, the figure on right holding an aquila and a bow. RIC I 134b; RSC 85a. Toned, some hairlines on obverse, scratches on reverse. Fine. Very rare with head left and RECVPER on reverse. Only 2 examples in CoinArchives.
