Hadrian. AD 117-138. AR Denarius (18mm, 3.39 g, 8h). Rome mint. Struck AD 118. Laureate bust right, with bare chest, wearing elaborate aegis on far shoulder / Salus seated left, resting arm on chair and feeding out of patera serpent coiled around and rising from altar to left. RIC II.3 138 var. (aegis); RSC 1350a. Lightly toned. Good VF. Very rare variety with aegis, only one other example listed on Coin Archives.
