HIB &c PRO, rev. crowned quartered shield of arms of the Protectorate, date above, PAX QVÆRITVR BELLO, 6.01g (Bull 254; ESC 1005; S.3228). Toned, with proof-like mint bloom, has been graded by NGC as MS60.

The abbreviated Latin legends translate as "Oliver by the Grace of God, Protector of the Republic of England, Scotland and Ireland," and on the reverse "Peace is sought by war."
