MS63 George I (1714-27), silver Shilling, 1718, first laureate and draped bust right, Latin legend and toothed border surrounding, GEORGIVS. D. G. M. BR. FR. ET. HIB. REX. F. D. rev. crowned cruciform shields, garter star at centre, roses and plums alternate angles, date either side of top crown, Latin legend and toothed border surrounding, BRVN. ET L. DVX S.R.I.A.TH ET. EL. 6.04g (Bull 1566; ESC 1165; S.3645). Toned with a few light surface marks, has been graded by NGC as MS63.

NGC Certification 5880764-009.

We note as of February 2021 of the 25 graded by NGC only 4 are finer and for comparison none are finer at PCGS who have only five grading records.

The Latin legends translates as on the obverse "George, by the grace of God, King of Great Britain, France and Ireland, Defender of the Faith" and on the reverse "Duke of Brunswick and Luneberg, High Treasurer and Elector of the Holy Roman Empire."
