Elizabeth II (1952-), Trial decimal Two Pence, 1967, struck in bronze on a circular flan, incuse legends both sides, three lines at centre PROPOSED / DECIMAL / COINAGE, legend surrounding, .ELIZABETH .II. DEI. GRATIA. REGINA, rev. struck en medaille, large 2 incuse at left, NEW / PENCE in two lines to right, legend above and below -BRITANNIA- / 1967, bevelled rims both sides, edge plain, 7.27g, diameter 25mm, Toned with some lustre, good extremely fine, unlisted and extremely rare, seemingly the only piece in private hands.

Seemingly a Royal Mint concept of what design contestants would be proposed to work with in respect of the legends on the new coin.
