Charles I (1625-1629), Group V, Halfcrown, 1645-1646, Tower (under Parliament), King in armour holding sword tilted slightly forward, on tall spirited horse with upright head, tail flowing back, rev. oval garnished shield, 14.27g, 7h, m.m. sun (Brooker 377; North 2215; Spink 2780), scuff to reverse, otherwise lustrous, very fine with finely incised decoration.
