First National Bank of South Pasadena, United States of America, $5, CH#8544, 1902, serial number N561256A, black, Benjamin Harrison at left, signature Vernon and Treat, blue seal, (Friedberg 592), in PMG holder, stains, 30 Very Fine. A 'discovery' note. This is the only South Pasadena $5 graded by PMG with the charter number 8544, all other examples with charter numbers 12797. None seen in auction previously. A $10 with this charter number was offered in auction back in 2015 which hammered for USD$29,000. Also to note that all South Pasadena $5 previously offered were the plain back version with this one being a date back.
