Pedro I 320 Reis 1824-R XF Details (Tooled) NGC, Rio de Janeiro mint, KM374 (Rare), LMB-495, Bentes-476.01. Mintage: 642. An issue that the Standard Catalog of World Coins simply lists as "rare," and an emission that we last offered in the Paulistana Collection in April of 2010, where an example we graded F/VF hammered for $12,000. This specimen is objectively finer and the only seen by NGC, the noted tooling seemingly trivial for such a rarity, yielding scattered hints of iridescence throughout. A scarce opportunity to acquire this Brazilian rarity.
