George V gold Sovereign 1921-M AU Details (Cleaned) PCGS, Melbourne mint, KM29, S-3999. A lower-mintage and decidedly key date of the series, rarely located in any state of preservation, and even less so bordering on Mint State. Despite an original level of production that should leave a considerable number of survivors, extensive melting of the issue resulted in low figures of remaining examples. Though lightly cleaned and displaying minute resulting hairlines, the surfaces remain quite lustrous, impressively so for a coin that has seen any degree of circulation, rendering this offering a compelling candidate for the dedicated Sovereign series collector.
