Ferdinand VII gold 8 Escudos 1813 NR-JF MS64+ NGC, Nuevo Reino mint, KM66.1, Onza-1324. A far finer example of the type than is normally seen, alluringly speckled in glowing golden frost and preserved with only faint instances of handling throughout. The result is that the fields exude an almost velveteen luminescence, embellishing motifs which take on a distinctive razor sharpness to the reverse. Charles' bust displays only slight central softness, though is flanked by crisp legends that serve as a pleasing visual frame to the design. Very scarce in this standout conditional state.
