Anne gold 1/2 Guinea 1710 MS63 NGC, KM527, S-3575, Schneider-538. Stunningly lustrous, this superbly choice example immediately reveals a degree of mint brilliance that easily matches that with which it was produced over 300 years ago. The planchet is a sumptuous yellow gold, the fields resplendent and displaying only a minimum of handling friction to prevent even finer certification. Any seasoned expert will be well aware that Anne's 1/2 Guinea series is quite difficult to locate in anything resembling choice condition, and indeed, this example ties for the finest of any seen across both NGC and PCGS to date. A marvelous coin, and a treasured numismatic relic of the early 18th century.
