An intriguing Pattern set for this well-known modern commemorative series of copper-nickel, silver, and gold issues, each minted in gold and struck without the words "FINE GOLD" and oz. flanking the denomination. Interestingly, the Alley Cat design was not adopted (with an altered background scene of the sea) until 1990 (cf. KM275b). According to our research, this set is entirely unpublished, and may well be unique as such.
