IONIA. Magnesia ad Meandrum. Ca. mid-2nd century BC. AR tetradrachm (32mm, 16.88 gm, 1h). NGC Choice AU 5/5 - 5/5. Apollodorus, son of Callicrates, magistrate, ca. 160-155 BC. Diademed and draped bust of Artemis right, wearing stephane and pendant earring, hair tied in knot at back of head, bow and quiver over left shoulder / AΠOΛΛOΔΩPOΣ KAΛΛIKPATOY / ΜΑΓ-ΝΗΤΩΝ, Apollo, nude, standing left on meander pattern, laurel branches in right hand, leaning on tripod with left arm; all within laurel wreath. Jones 5a (early obverse die of "fine" style). Rare early issue.
