The undisputed key-date of the 50 Centimos series, and one that inspires fierce competition among Venezuelan collectors whenever it becomes available--a fact hardly surprising when considering that only around 3 examples (including this piece) have come to auction in the last several decades. Assigned a catalog value by Ortega, Arrieta, and Vitiello between 80 and 100 times higher than the surrounding dates in Good, and only the second representative we have presented.
