THRACE. Maroneia. 1st century B.C. Æ. 6.77 gm. 17 mm. Wreathed head of Dionysos right / Dionysos standing left, nude but for chlamys draped over his arm, holding grape bunch and two narthex stalks; ΜΑΡΩΝΙΤΩΝ downwards to right. HGC 3.2, 1541. Cf. Schönert-Geiss 1593-1594 (V67/R-). Good Very Fine; dark brown and green patina; well centered; sharp high relief strike. Exceptionally fine style and condition. Choice for this issue.
