Alexius III Angelus-Comnenus, 1195-1203. Aspron Trachy (Bronze, 29 mm, 4.14 g, 6 h), Constantinople, 1195-1197. + KE BOH-ΘEI/ IC XC Nimbate youthful facing bust of Christ. Rev. Alexius and St. Constantine standing facing, holding labara and a globus cruciger between them. DOC 3. SB 2012. Excellent strike for this typically crude issue; dark brown patina. Good very fine.
