KINGS OF MACEDON. Alexander III 'the Great', 336-323 BC. Obol (Silver, 10 mm, 0.57 g, 4 h), uncertain eastern mint. Head of Herakles to right, wearing lion's skin headdress. Rev. ΑΛΕΞΑΝΔΡΟΥ Zeus seated left on throne, holding eagle in his right hand and scepter in his left. Cf. Price 4009. Well-centered and toned. Very fine.
