MACEDON. Thessalonica. Tranquillina, wife of Gordian III, 241-244. (Bronze, 28 mm, 13.56 g, 1 h). CΑΒΙΝΙΑ ΤΡΑΝΚVΛΛΙΝΑ ΑΓΟ Diademed and draped bust of Tranquillina to right. Rev. ΘΕCCΑΛΟΝΙΚΕΩΝ ΝΕΩΚ / ΠVΘΙΑ Nike standing left, holding olive branch over pile of apples and prize crown at her feet to left. Touratsoglou 212 (V 1/R 4, same dies). Brownish black patina. About very fine.
