LUCANIA. Metapontum. Circa 330-290 BC. Nomos (Silver, 19 mm, 7.91 g, 12 h). Head of Demeter to right, wearing triple pendant earring and a grain wreath. Rev. META Ear of barley with leaf to right; on the leaf, Nike standing left, holding large wreath with both hands. HN III 1591. Johnston C9.1/9.3 (obverse/reverse). Dies slightly worn, minor roughness, otherwise, about extremely fine.
