Chalkous second half of the IV century BC, Æ 1.92 g. Youthful head r., wearing taenia (Apollo?). Rev. ΚΙΕΡΙ / ΕΙΩΝ above and below thunderbolt; all within laurel wreath. BCD Thessaly 1076 (this coin).
Of the highest rarity and apparently unpublished before the BCD auction. Lovely dark
green patina, slightly off-centre on obverse, otherwise about extremely fine
