"Full silver pieces are a different but related group (to types debased and broader flan) – new information suggests that they originally came from North of Delhi – hence the 'Kuru' attribution. A few of the AR specimens are known with a Magadhan 6-arm symbol later punched onto the reverse – confirming that these are issues of the Janapada, pre Magadhan era, and suggesting an early/mid 4th Cent BC date, prior to a defeat by one of the Nandas, or Chandragupta."
