BN Chinoises I 410-7; Hartill 7.6. Green patina in varying shades with light earthen deposits and hints of the underlying metal. Good VF.

This variety of banliang, with good weight and finely cast in a large module, was traditionally attributed to the first issue of a unified China under the Qín dynasty. Examples of this type found in Warring States period tombs and certain hoard finds, however, require the series to be given an earlier date.
