HANOVER. Victoria. 1837-1901. Gilt AR 1854 India General Service Medal (1854 IGSM) (36mm, 12h). With campaign clasps for Burma 1885-7 and 1887-9 and original ribbon. By W. and J.C. Wyon. Awarded to Pvt. P. Cassidy, 2nd Bn., Royal Munster Fusiliers (number 1063). VICTORIA REGINA, filleted young lead left, wearing tiara / Victory advancing right, crowning with wreath warrior seated left on arms, holding sword and sheath; spray and J.C. Wyon in two lines in exergue. Edge: 1063 Private P. Cassidy, 2nd. Bn. R. Muns. Fus.. BBM 70. Scratches, medal and clasps gilt, with some of the gilding lost in spots. Good VF. With swivel and ribbon attached.
