LUCANIA
Metapontum. Circa 540-510 BC. Nomos (Silver, 29 mm, 8.06 g, 11 h). ΜΕΤ Ear of barley with eight grains. Rev. Ear of barley with eight grains, all incuse. HN III 1459. Noe 3. Well-struck and clear. Minor marks and scratches, otherwise, good very fine.
Ex Nomos 14, 27 May 2017, 29 (with the corrosion on the reverse now removed) and from the Stoecklin Collection, acquired from Santamaria in Rome prior to 1975.
