Lucania, Sybaris AR Obol. Circa 510-475 BC. Bull standing to right, head to left, on pelleted ground line / Incuse acorn. Kraay, Coinage, pl. IV, 3 (Laos); HN Italy 1742. 0.37g, 9mm.

Near Very Fine. Extremely Rare.

From a private European collection;
Ex Bertolami Fine Arts - ACR Auctions, E-Auction 71, 16 June 2019, lot 166.

Speculation as to the authority under which this issue was struck still lingers, with Kraay placing it under Laos, whereas Rutter gives it to Sybaris. The tiny number of known examples, with only a handful listed on CoinArchives, is likely to ensure there is uncertainty for some time to come.
