China Hongkong & Shanghai Banking Corporation, Tientsin 10 Dollars 1.1.1920 Pick S383s S/M#Y13 Specimen PMG About Uncirculated 53. Simply beautiful, intricate engravings are present on this large sized Specimen prepared for HSBC in the 1920s. This handsome type is either extremely rare or unknown in issued form, making prototypes the best method to acquire this design. Hole punched cancellations and a red overprint are mentioned for accuracy. A pair of staple holes and some associated rust from a clip dent are seen, which do not much detract from the overall visual appeal. A trace of mounting remnant remains, as most of these trials were adhered to booklets for presentation. At the time of cataloging, this is the first we have offered and one of only a few known to exist.
