This highest denomination rarity is from a small stock of unissued notes from the Russo-Chinese Bank that were repurposed when the bank changed its name to the Russo-Asiatic Bank. The small serial number indicates how few of these notes were issued. The enormous face value relegated this type for only the largest of transactions at the time. We have only offered this type twice previously.
