Malaysia Bank Negara 1000 Ringgit ND (1967-72) Pick 6cts KNB6CT Color Trial Specimen PMG Choice Uncirculated 63. Malaysian Specimen and Color Trials are rare and not generally seen. This $1000 from the first series of Malaysian banknotes is a crowning piece missing from even the most advanced collections. Deep green hues replace pink on this beautiful Bradbury, Wilkinson & Company creation. This enormous denomination was was seldom used during its stint in circulation, and only a scant few issued examples were saved. In 1999, all Malaysian high denomination notes were withdrawn from circulation and almost all were redeemed, which explains their rarity today. A red overprint on each side is mentioned for accuracy, along with faint mount remnants.
