Qing Dynasty. Shaanxi Caoding? ("Trough") Sycee of 3 Taels ND (c. 19th Century) XF, cf. Cribb-Class XLII (this sub-group not listed). 43x34mm. 103.25gm. Stamped "Xing." A very intriguing piece, most particularly as, while the style of casting conforms with the Shaanxi Caoding, Cribb records no sub-group for this class with only a single character stamp. The first such example we have encountered, and presumably quite scarce.
