Ming Dynasty. Tai Zu (1368-1398) 10 Cash ND (1368-1371) Certified 85 by Gong Bo Grading, Fujian mint, FD-1954, Hartill-20.115, Jen-1339. 46mm. 24.4gm. With the characters "Shi Fu" (Ten [Cash] Fu[jian Mint]) on reverse. A boldly produced and richly toned specimen, and a much nicer representative than is often encountered for the type. Hartill states that the large Hong Wu cash were discontinued in 1371 due to a lack of acceptance in the marketplace.
