Fengtien. Kuang-hsü 20 Cents Year 24 (1898) MS61 NGC, Fengtien Machine Factory mint, KM-Y85.1, L&M-475, Kann-246, WS-0588. Variety with dragon's eyes in relief and four rows of scales. A very highly graded minor selection, presently tied at NGC for the second finest certified just behind a pair of MS64's. Though assigned a comparatively lower grade within the Mint State range, the coin offers few grounds for complaint, its surfaces admitting no serious abrasions and bathed in metallic blue and accenting gold tone. Perhaps a bit conservatively graded as such, and thoroughly charming.
