Hristova/Hoeft/Jekov, Nicopolis, 2012, p. 59, coins 5 and 6: same obv. die as ours, same rev. type too but without the snake emerging from cista at Demeter\'s feet. Obv: .AV.K.?.CE?. - CEVHPOC Bust laureate r., fold of cloak on front shoulder. Rx: V? AVP GA??OV N - IKO?O?ITON around, ?POC ICTP in exergue, Demeter, veiled, standing l., holding three wheat ears and a poppy in r. hand and a long lighted torch in l.; at her feet a snake emerging l. from a slightly opened cista. A similar coin with the snake emerging from cista is published in the latest edition of the Hristova/Hoeft/Jekov Nicopolis book. Ours seems to be the second known example, and is a variant because it shows a different arrangement of the legend on the reverse. VF
