THRACE, Kingdom of, Lysimachos, (323-281 B.C.), silver tetradrachm, (15.63 g), Byzantium mint, late style of that issued c.2nd-1st century B.C., obv. head of Alexander to right, with diadem and horn of Ammon, rev. Athena enthroned to left, supporting Nike, spear behind, monogram of **PYHW* to left, filleted trident below, BY under throne seat, to right **BASILEWS* to left **LUSIMACOU*, (cf.S.6816, Thompson -, Muller 207, HGC 3, 1402). Good very fine with grey patination, very rare.
