THRACE, Kingdom of, Lysimachos, (323-281 B.C.), silver tetradrachm, (16.50 g), Lysimachia mint, issued 297-281 B.C., obv. head of Alexander to right, with diadem and horn of Ammon, within dotted circle, rev. Athena enthroned to left, supporting Nike, spear behind, on throne monogram **DW*, before lion's head, to left **BASILEWS* to right **LUSIMAXOU*, (cf.S.6814, M.51, Thompson 16 [pl.16, 16] very similar dies). Toned, good very fine and rare.
