MACEDON, Kingdom of, Philip II, (359-336 B.C.), silver tetradrachm, (13.70 g), Amphipolis mint, struck under Antipater, Polyperchon or Kassander, issued c.323/2-315 B.C., obv. head of Zeus laureate to right, rev. naked youth or small man (Philip II), on horseback to right, holding palm, monogram below horse, pellet above raised foreleg, above and round **FILIP POU*. (cf.S.6680, Le Rider -, SNG ANS 571-3 var. pellet, cf.HGC 3, 863). Bright, nearly very fine and rare.
