BAKTRIA, Graeco-Baktrian Kingdom, Antimachos I, (c.174-165 B.C.), silver tetradrachm, 33mm, (16.95 g), obv. diademed and draped bust right, wearing kausia within a dotted border, rev. Poseidon standing facing, holding long trident and palm, monogram to right, to left **ANTIMACOU*, to right, BASILEWS QEOU*, (S.7542, Bopearachchi Serie 1A; SNG ANS 274, HGC 12, 106 [S]). Grey patination extremely fine, minor flan crack, very scarce.

Except for tax receipt from Sangcharak in Afghanistan, which shows that he ruled in conjunction with his sons (?) Eumenes and Antimachos II, there is no evidence for the reign of Antimachos I beyond that provided by his coins.
